A Southern California native with a creative spirit and a deep love for transformation, Jacqui began her hairstyling journey in 2001. She first sharpened her skills with the renowned Toni & Guy, training as a color specialist before stepping into a leadership role on the color training team at Daniel Michael Salon in San Juan Capistrano.
Early in her career, Jacqui felt a magnetic pull toward the world of hair extensions. After years of mastering various techniques, she discovered Natural Beaded Rows®—a method that deeply resonated with her. The results spoke for themselves: her clients were glowing, confident, and transformed from the inside out. Her passion led her to the NBR Flagship Salon, DKW Styling in Laguna Beach, where she became not just an artist but a mentor—coaching the brand’s student base and shaping the next generation of extension specialists.
But her heart for transformation didn’t stop at extensions. Recently, Jacqui became certified in the Crown Mesh Integration technique—designed specifically for women experiencing thinning or fine hair at the crown. Extensions alone aren’t always the solution, and Jacqui recognized a need in her community that wasn’t being met. This new skill allows her to empower even more women who want to feel confident in their hair again, especially those who may have once felt overlooked. For Jacqui, it’s not just about aesthetics—it’s about helping her guests feel seen, supported, and truly beautiful.
The birth of her son sparked a new wave of purpose, creativity, and drive, ultimately leading her to launch The Temple—a luxurious yet laid-back sanctuary offering personalized, high-end hair experiences with a side of soul.
Outside the salon, Jacqui and her husband Drew are living their best lives—chasing sunsets, curating playlists, exploring new corners of the world, and making unforgettable memories over amazing meals. Their passion for life, music, and culture is the heartbeat of The Temple, making it a space where guests feel not just pampered, but at home.

Meet Drew Mackinnon, a force to be reckoned with! No challenge is too big for this creative dynamo. Born and raised in sunny Southern California, Drew spent his childhood immersed in the vibrant Los Angeles art scene alongside his mother, which ignited a lifelong passion for art and antiques from around the globe.
Drew’s spirituality deeply informs his creative vision, and he often travels to exotic locations, seeking out unique art pieces that resonate with his journey. Now at The Temple, he’s channeling that keen eye into the design process, crafting spaces that inspire and uplift.
With a gift for genuinely connecting with people, Drew plays an integral role in managing The Temple. He’s eager to share his love for art by creating unique merchandise, hosting talented artists, and curating distinctive pieces that enhance the atmosphere. With 17 years in the industry, Dana is a true master of her craft—known for her precision, thoughtful artistry, and a deep commitment to creating an experience that feels as good as it looks. Her journey led her to specialize in Natural Beaded Rows® (NBR), where she spent 3 years at the NBR Flagship Salon in Laguna Beach, refining her technique and mentoring alongside some of the best in the business. Her fine attention to detail and grounded presence make her a trusted go-to for seamless, elevated transformations.
While her professional path has evolved in many ways, Dana has always lived a lifestyle rooted in wellness and intentionality. A long-time advocate for non-toxic, holistic living, she’s now on a mission to bridge the gap between high-end hair services and health-conscious choices—proving that luxury and clean beauty can absolutely go hand in hand.
Outside the salon, Dana is basically a modern-day homesteader. Her world revolves around animals (chickens, dogs, cats... and rumor has it, there may be more on the way), non-toxic living, and dreams of cultivating her own line of luxurious, clean products. She’s been with her firefighter fiancé for 9 years, and together they’ve built a life rooted in love, purpose, and plenty of fresh air.
At The Temple, Dana’s vision has come full circle—offering clients an elevated yet grounded experience that honors both beauty and well-being.

With more than 35 years behind the chair, Rita Miles has built a career rooted in artistry, transformation, and a deep love for helping women feel beautiful. Throughout her journey, she has trained under some of the industry’s most respected educators, worked in premier salons, participated in runway shows, editorial projects, platform artist teams, and spent years mentoring the next generation of stylists.
Known for her creative eye and personalized approach, Rita has always believed that great hair is about more than trends—it’s about confidence, connection, and self-expression. Her passion for the beauty industry eventually led her to co-own and build a successful Newport Beach salon and boutique, where she spent years creating not only beautiful hair, but unforgettable experiences and a strong sense of community.
After selling the salon, Rita embraced a new chapter focused on what she loves most: working behind the chair and creating transformational results for her guests. Today, she splits her time between Newport Beach and San Clemente, the beach town she proudly calls home, specializing in luxury custom extensions, dimensional color, and beautifully lived-in hair.
Inspired by travel, design, wellness, and the creativity found in everyday life, Rita approaches her craft as both an artist and an alchemist—blending decades of experience with intuition, technical expertise, and a touch of magic. Whether adding fullness, length, or creating a complete reinvention, she believes every transformation should feel effortless, elevated, and uniquely personal.

Her approach is rooted in enhancing each guest's natural beauty with color and shape that feels modern, wearable, and uniquely theirs.
Tamie's passion for hair has taken her across the globe. She and her family spent eight years living in Melbourne, Australia, where she continued to refine her craft while embracing a culture known for its creativity, style, and laid-back lifestyle. That experience continues to influence her approach today—blending technical expertise with an effortless, lived-in aesthetic.
Whether she's creating the perfect blonde, adding depth and dimension to a brunette, or crafting a fresh new cut, Tamie is known for going above and beyond to ensure every guest leaves feeling confident, refreshed, and cared for.

"I've always seen hair as a canvas for creativity. Nothing inspires me more than helping someone leave my chair feeling confident, beautiful, and more like themselves."
Born and raised in Temecula, creativity was always imbedded into Brianna’s life. Spending her childhood trying the latest diy trends, cheering and dancing, photo shoots or soaking up the sun! Experimenting with fashion colors in her early teens, an early love in creative expression soon guided her to the world of beauty.
To Bri, the salon chair was the ultimate canvas and decision to pursue hair came naturally. What they love most about the craft is its power to instantly transform someone’s mood and elevate their personal style! With no time to waste after graduating cosmetology school, Bris eagerness to continue mastering and learning advance techniques really shine when she’s behind the chair!
When Bri’s not refining her skills in the salon, you can find her hanging out at the beach tanning with a good mystery book or dancing at a concert with her best friends, if not back in her hometown visiting her puppies, of course!
As Temple’s Protégé co-stylist, Bri is dedicated to mastering techniques and collaborating to bring clients unique hair visions to life!
